From October 29 to November 9, the Japan Mobility Show 2025 took place at Tokyo Big Sight. For the Toyota Group, it was an unprecedented opportunity for four brands Daihatsu, Toyota, Lexus, and Century to come together under one roof, drawing large crowds on each day. Did you know that within the KidZania area at the venue, Daihatsu had set up a MONODUKURI experience booth? In this article, we share what the experience looked like and the ideas behind the program.
MONODUKURI Experience with Real Authenticity at KidZania
In the KidZania area, each manufacturer presented unique concepts and offered a wide variety of experiential programs. Among them, Daihatsu focused on giving children the opportunity to experience MONODUKURI with genuine realism. Centered on the theme of assembling the e-SNEAKER, Daihatsu provided a program that allowed participants to engage in an authentic vehicle manufacturing experience.
Visitors who stopped by were heard saying things like, "I didn’t expect them to go this far!" and "This is so authentic!" These reactions showed that Daihatsu’s careful, detail-oriented approach to MONODUKURI was clearly communicated through the experience.
The video presents behind-the-scenes operations, comments from employees who supported the activities, and impressions from the participating children through interview-style coverage. It also includes extensive footage of the day’s program, so please take a look!
Conveying the Excitement of MONODUKURI Through the e-SNEAKER
The program conveyed the principle of “jikotei kanketsu,” which teaches that each individual completing their task thoroughly makes the next process easier, in an easy-to-understand and enjoyable way for children. Employees who assisted with the sessions shared that they felt energized by the children and that the experience made them feel proud of their work. This made the program a valuable opportunity to strengthen motivation for working at Daihatsu.
Going forward, Daihatsu will continue to cherish its connection with customers and carry the joy of manufacturing and the fun of mobility into the future.
