Daihatsu has welcomed new Partners this year. How refreshing!

Welcome, New Partners!
On April 1, 331 new employees (250 in administrative roles and 81 on the production line) joined Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd.
After the ceremony in the head office’s main hall, President Inoue led everyone over to the former site of the Head (Ikeda) Plant No. 2!
As the new employees emerged from an aisle formed by current employees waiting to surprise them…
There were the Midget, the Charade, the Mira Turbo, the Copen DGR model, the Yaris ATIV, the e-Sneaker, the Midget X, and the Hijet Art Truck!
These are all cars that even current employees rarely get to see.
This lineup really conveyed the Human Resources staff’s desire to bring joy to all the new employees!
We heard lots of joyful comments here and there, such as, “The Midget is so cute!” “I’d love to drive the Copen DGR model!” “The Art Truck looks great!” and “The Yaris ATIV is so stylish!”
New Partners, New Uniforms
New Uniforms Selected by Vote
In fact, the new employees were wearing the new uniforms, which were decided by a vote conducted among all employees at the end of last year!
Based on the key theme of “Building together with all employees = One Team,” a cross-departmental team spent a year reviewing designs and specifications.
Taking into account recent changes in the working environment, we’ve redesigned the uniforms for the first time in 25 years. Our goal was to create uniforms that inspire everyone at Daihatsu to work with energy and pride every day.
Since we have yet to distribute the uniforms to all employees, the new employees were actually the very first ones to try them on!
We asked the brand-new first-year employees, dressed in their uniforms, about how they felt right after joining the company and their enthusiasm for the work ahead.
