Breaking News: e-Hijet Cargo and e-Atrai Press Conference
Daihatsu's First Mass-Produced BEVs Make Their Long-Awaited Debut!
On February 2, Daihatsu held a press conference for its first mass-produced battery electric vehicles (BEVs), the e-Hijet Cargo and e-Atrai. Here is a quick look at the event!
The event started with project manager Saito, Sales & Customer Service Group Chief Officer Fukuda, and President Inoue taking the stage to explain the product appeal, customer support structure, and so on.
The presentation also anticipated further expansion in KOTODUKURI. I can’t be the only one who envisioned a future where “Japan’s working BEVs” brightly illuminate the country…✨
By recreating various scenarios utilizing the AC 100 V external power supply function—one of the key strengths—at the venue, Daihatsu showcased the vehicles’ versatile applications not only during disasters but also in everyday life.
Additionally, to let visitors experience firsthand the high loading capacity and spacious luggage space that are equivalent to the base model, authentic tatami mats were even provided!
Daihatsu’s official X account shared real-time updates from the event, reporting from each booth. Be sure to check it out!
Press Conference Report 1: “Even with the battery installed, the tatami mat still fits perfectly!”
Press Conference Report 2: “A café appeared at the venue?!”
At the interview session following the press conference, it was also impressive to see Daihatsu representatives passionately discuss their dedication to the details while standing in front of the actual vehicles.
At DAIHATSU ONE!, we are conducting interviews to share the passion and dedication of everyone involved in development and production! Stay tuned for the article release!
